Software Engineer (Data/Machine Learning) (all genders!)

THE ROLE

You have a solid understanding of Data Science and technology is your passion. Within this role, you will balance these areas. Using this approach, you will contribute to the development of a software framework for solving AI problems such as NLP, recognition, and Recommendation. This is an end-to-end data science engineering function at the heart of the Cobrainer product.

IN THIS ROLE

Break down product requirements into meaningful tasks for your team
Explain data constraints to other engineering and product teams as well as the stack-holders
Develop text analysis and NLP models to extract data that is core to Cobrainer business
Integrate models into our distributed software architectures on AWS
Develop and maintain data orchestration processes
Enhance our automated deployment and logging-monitoring setup

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Basic:

University degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or comparable qualification
3+ years industry experience in applying data science methods to real world data
Solid understanding of OOP software development
Proficient in working in Linux
Agile mindset and experience with modern development practices
Fluent in written and spoken English

Required:

Proficient in Python including data science frameworks: numpy, pandas, scikit-learn. Experience with DL frameworks pytorch, TensorFlow etc. are plus
Hands-on experience in mining of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data
Experience in preparing/manipulating datasets to evaluate developed models
Experience in one (preferably many) of the following areas: entity extraction/linking, document classification, knowledge graphs, matching/recommendations
Experience of working with: container technology, docker files, docker images, GitHub, CI/CD concepts

Desired:

Sound knowledge of natural language processing tasks
Experience with NLP frameworks and libraries e.g., transformers, Spacy
AWS cloud experience is a plus
Experience in technologies such as Kubeflow, Sagemaker, Airflow, Hadoop
Spark is a plus
